94.7 Highveld Stereo and Real Concerts presents 947Unplugged with Elvis Blue at The Venue, Melrose Arch on Sunday, May 5.

Jack Parow and Dan Patlansky kicked off the 947Unplugged, which showcase the raw talent of South African artists in a rare and intimate setting. The audience is treated to an evening of great food in the company of their favourite artists performing like you’ve never seen them perform before.

Elvis Blue will perform live with The Stuart Reece Band, the supporting act on the night.

Simply titled “Elvis Blue”, Elvis Blue’s first album was released in November 2010. Shooting up the radiocharts,the album soon reached Gold status. The first two singles Things My Father Said and Lighthouse were massive hits, and the third single, Save Me, is currently on playlists across the country. The album went platinum in late 2011 – with sales in excess of 40 000 units.

Announced during 94.7 Highveld Stereo’s Breakfast Xpress, Elvis Blue has been confirmed as the opening act for American rock band Bon Jovi, when they visit our shores in May for their ‘Because We Can’ tour.

Since the release of his album, Elvis has set himself apart as an exceptional performer of live music, using some of the best local musicians to compliment his band on stage, delivering music with depth to audiences across the country. Elvis is also a dedicated husband and father. He is without a doubt a world class musician and a household name in South Arica
