Ndumiso Lindi

Ndumiso Lindi

Known for his trade mark hat, funky urban stylish look and brilliant impersonation of the Madiba Jive, Ndumiso Lindi is regarded as one of South Africa's top black comedians. An entertainer with flair, Ndumiso delves into honest observations of everyday life in South Africa; the diversity of South African cultures; as well as the uniqueness of black people. Painting the nation from a young black man's point of view, this talented man is well on his way to the top!

After moving to Cape Town from Zwelitsha a small township next to King William's Town in Eastern Cape where he was born and raised, Ndumiso had never imagined that a national diploma in design at the Cape Technikon would be the start of a whole new creative world.

Inspired by his family and the likes of Eddie Murphy and Bill Cosby, his first big break came in 2004 during the Vodacom Comedy Campus Tour, where Ndumiso took his act to the stage for 3 minutes. It was these 3 minutes that got Ndumiso into the Comedy AllStars Collective, performing at a host of city venues, including the celebrated Independent Armchair Theatre in Cape Town. It was at this point that many could see the rising of this young talented comedian.

After regular successful performances on the local comedy circuit, Ndumiso won a trip to London as the Best Newcomer in the Red Bull Comedy AllStars Comedy Challenge. By now, flawless doors of opportunity were opening for Ndumiso as he continued to be unstoppable.

Ndumiso has toured South Africa performing stand-up in many well known and much loved comedy shows and festivals. Ndumiso has performed all over the country at the Barnyard Theatre Festival in Durban, Pretoria and Johannesburg. He has shared the stage with local award winning comedy gurus such as: Kurt Schoonraad, Mel Miller, Riaad Moosa, Stuart Taylor, Dave Levinsohn, Cokey Falkow, Marc Lottering and David Kau.

Ndumiso has worked his way to becoming a recommended headliner. At the Heavyweight Comedy Jams and Blacks Only comedy festival in Johannesburg earlier this year, he received countless ovations and praise from the media. He went on to share the stage with the best in the business at the 46664 Nelson Mandela Foundation "It's No Joke" Comedy Night in Sun City, Johannesburg and Cape Town earlier this year. Ndumiso was the MC at the Vodacom Comedy Campus Tour in 2009 & 2010 and has headlined the 2010 Vodacom Funny Festival at the Baxter Theatre. He has also wowed the rock audience when he headlined the comedy section at the rock festival – Rocking the Daisies.

Knighting this man as talented would be but to say the least. Being the much loved rising comedian, there is no stopping this young man. He believes in putting his heart and mind into everything he loves doing the most. Clear the way because Ndumiso Lindi is about to take centre stage.

Riaad Moosa

Riaad Moosa has just qualified as a doctor and both his parents are doctors and all his aunts and uncles are doctors. But his dad has always said to him, "Riaad, you can do anything you want to in this world, as long as you become an orthopaedic surgeon first."

Riaad's combination of cheek and charm matched with his great bonestructure and awesome intelligence make him irresistible to women and audiences everywhere.

Riaad is a natural comic with worldclass potential. He is also a devout Muslim and a superb ambassador for his faith. His material confronts stereotypical views of his community with wit and wisdom, as well as showing a flair for the just plain silly.

Having trained as a comedy magician, Riaad was challenged to move over to pure stand-up at the Cape Comedy Collective's free Comedy Lab workshops, and just two months later he was the winner of the hotly contested One City, Many Comics Talent Competition held as part of Cape Town s One City Festival in September 1999.

Riaad represented the CCC at the 9th International Anti-Corruption Conference in Durban in October 1999 and he appeared on Evita: Live and Dangerous on eTV as a guest of Pieter-Dirk Uys in December. He was a headliner on the CCC's Cape Town circuit and appeared on stages all over the country as part of the CCC s Varsities Tour of campus cities nationwide in 2000.

Riaad spent 2002 living in Gauteng and performed regularly in venues around Jo'burg. He was the hit of the 5fm Heavyweight Comedy Jam at the Sandton Centre in April, appeared on the national Sprite Soul Comedy tour in May and performed at the Laugh Out Loud concert for the Reach for a Dream Foundation in November which was broadcast on SABC3 on New Year's Eve.

Riaad has been on all of Real Comedy's Heavyweight Comedy Jams during 2003 & 2004 and on all the King Size Comedy comedy shows around the country.

To add to this, Riaad has just completed a SOLD OUT run of his one man show entitled Strictly Halaal at the Johannesburg Civic Theatre and around the country.

Conrad Koch

Conrad Koch

Conrad Koch is one of South Africa’s most in demand comedy talents and the winner of the 2010 Entertainer of the Year award, and a 2012 Standard Bank Ovation Award from the National Arts Festival. He has had extensive experience implementing culture change programmes for the likes of FNB, Goldfields, Sun International, SAA, etc.

Conrad is completely unique in using his combination of razor sharp comedy with an understanding of human dynamics to create effective corporate communication. In the age of television and internet the human mind needs more than just facts read off the PowerPoint. His comedy is the sugar to effectively deliver the medicine of your message.

His edu-taining talk, “Making Laughter Work” (on techniques to make the office a more diversity friendly, pleasant, playful and productive environment), has received standing ovations around the country. This fun-filled interactive talk focuses specifically on creating a client-focused culture, where diversity, customer-centricity and corporate citizenship are lived, rather than just spoken about!

Conrad has audiences in stitches by talking to himself through a variety of extremely eccentric characters. Self-ridicule has never been this fun. Meet Mr. Chester Missing (his 51% BEE partner), Ronnie (the precocious monster), and Hilary (a bad attitude ostrich).

Conrad learned his craft at the College of Magic in Cape Town. He started doing comedy with the UCT Comedy Club, and then the Cape Comedy Collective. He is the only ventriloquist on the circuit, and is dedicated to bettering both his art form, and his contribution to debates on culture as a whole. As far as we know he is the world’s only anthropological ventriloquist. His blogs on the politics of culture ( have been widely read… Mr. Chester Missing’s thoughts on culture are even quoted in WITS Drama courses!
